A Royal Exhibition
31 July 2012

Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed the entire Olympic opening ceremony, the highlight was most definitely the cameo from the Queen herself alongside James Bond! As if her grace and sense of duty during the diamond jubilee celebrations didn’t make us fall in love with Her Majesty enough, the excellent sense of humour she displayed during her ‘parachute’ into the stadium alongside 007 has truly cemented her place in the nation’s hearts.

So it seemed only fitting that Buckingham Palace should open up the Diamond Jubilee Celebration Exhibition again, giving London’s many visitors the chance to see the collection of royal jewels this summer! Often associated with love, endurance and longevity, we can’t think of a better way for the Queen to celebrate her diamond jubilee than an exhibition of her personal and royal collection of beautiful diamond jewellery.

The exhibition will be running from Tuesday 31st July until Sunday 7th October between 9.45am and 6.30pm and reveals how much of the 200 year old jewellery has been transformed and restored, making it a perfect day out for those with an eye for ice and an interest in the history of the British monarchy. To book tickets in advance, visit the Buckingham Palace official website!
